Capture Your Wedding with Bethany Bloem

My main goal on your wedding day is to make you feel comfortable, elegant and madly in love in front of the camera. This allows the final product to reflect your unique personalities and details of your best day ever.

I’ve been photographing weddings since 2014. I have captured over 200 weddings in locations spanning all across North America. This year, 2023, I have added several destinations such as Spain, Jamaica and France to the roster and I'm ready to explore the globe with you. While the majority of my work in the Portland, Seattle, and Southern California, traveling for couples is my life's passion and I am happy to embark on any journey - big or small - wherever it may be.

All of my packages come with a print lab built right into your digital album. You can order prints, design a hard cover album and more with just one click. This insures that your printed art is the absolute highest quality possible and takes away the guesswork of where to order from.

Wedding Photography Packages

While these packages are my most popular, I have a full brochure and pricing guide available. We offer photo, video and customized packages so everyone, everywhere can get exactly what they want. The best way to explore pricing is to use the contact form below to request a full pricing brochure.

Get In Touch

Working with Bethany was great and the photos she gave us were outstanding, beyond what I could have hoped for. She did such a great job capturing the day and really helped us paint all the moments in photos for our guests who could not travel. She was great on keeping things moving, getting all the shots and was just great to talk to as we were trying to get through the day. I couldn't recommend her more, she really delivered.

  • How much does wedding photography cost on average in Portland?
It really depends on the individual you hire. Many professional photographers with years of experience and serious equipment have a price tag to reflect this. A budget or new photographer is going to be under $2,500 for a full day. A mid range or standard rate is around $3,500 - $4,500 for an experienced, vetted photographer. You can be assured the photos will be great and they have the skills for your day. If you want high end and luxury, the starting point is usually $6,500 and up. These are quality driven, highly experienced photographers that will give you the highest quality product. You really do get what you pay for and missing important moments on the best day of your life could really make or break your day.
  • What is the average turnaround time for wedding photos?
I do my absolute best to get every gallery into the hands of my clients within one month. In the peak of the busy season sometimes it can take a little longer. However, in my contract it states 3 months maximum and I will always get you a sneak peak gallery to celebrate while you wait!
  • What are some things to keep in mind when planning wedding, elopement and engagement photos?
The most important thing to keep in mind is the amount of people present at the location. Because of this, I always recommend picking a mid week day instead of the weekend. The PNW is prone to high traffic in the natural areas on the weekend and is practically empty during the week. Since the weather here is famous for being wet, keep this in mind when planning. I love the misty rain aesthetic, but if you don’t then you want to plan for the summer months when dry days are guaranteed.
